KORU Mindfulness 4 Week Training/Workshop (Virtual)
September 14, 21, 18, Oct 5, 11am – 12:15pm
Koru Mindfulness® is an evidence-based curriculum specifically designed for teaching mindfulness, meditation, and stress management. Participants in the program report being less-stressed, sleep better, and live with greater mindfulness and self-compassion. The program consists of 75-minute class over four weeks. This will be virtual. Due to the practice and training, as well as limited spots, participation in all four classes is strongly recommended and preferred. Workshops will be led Ann Grimaldi, MEd, a Koru instructor in-training. Space limited to 12 participants.

Lift Your Spirits and Each Other: Aromatherapy and Women’s Wellness Event (In person)

Join The Center for Women’s Health and Wellness, along with the Center for Student Wellbeing and HealthyUNCG, for a chance to meet other women on campus, talk about women’s mental health, and enjoy an aromatherapy session and make/take a product from Spartan Scents. Brown bag lunch presentation featuring Jennifer Whitney, Director of the Counseling Center, will be from 12:30 -1:00 pm.
No pre-registration necessary.

 

Creating a Healthy Work Environment (Virtual)

Managers and supervisors are key to creating a healthy work environment and providing a support for their staff to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Healthier, happier office environments lead to improved health and well-being, energy, mental functioning, productivity, and less injuries and illnesses.This session, created specifically for those in supervisory or management roles, will guide you through key elements and strategies for creating a healthy, supportive work environment.

Join us in the kitchen! The UNCG Dietetic interns and HealthyUNCG will host a lunchtime cooking demonstration. Watch as some of your favorite meals are prepared and practice building your own skills in the kitchen. Enjoy a meal-to-go at the end of the class! Space is limited due to distancing requirements.
